Cofounder Sheba Fideler, a 30+ year creator, designer and entrepreneur, dedicated her career to doing good in the world. Having designed for corporations that promised to give back but ultimately lost sight of what’s truly important and having witnessed dear people in her life experience mental and physical struggles and isolation, Sheba was inspired to create a company and products that deliver warmth, positivity and connection.
With friend and cofounder, Rosie DeSimone, the idea came to life in 2019:
We design our blankets thinking of our discerning customers and the details that matter to them. We mindfully create each line, each soft yet durable fabric, each just-right color to provide timeless, heirloom products our customers will use and cherish for years to come.
Creating fantastic blankets with care and love was just the start. To infuse each with the power of connection, we write uplifting messages with a specific spirit (heartwarming, calming, playful) for each collection. Each product includes an inspiration — a heartfelt message to remind people what amazing souls they are every time they wrap up in the comfortable warmth of a BIG LOViE.
Giving back is a cornerstone of BIG LOViE. With our Share the Love! program, blankets or cash proceeds are donated to those in need of warmth & love. We wanted to share the power of giving with our customers, so they are able to choose which charitable partner they would like to donate to at checkout.
We believe every person has the ability to make a difference in the world, and BIG LOViE is here to help provide an easy means to do so. Every person giving a BIG LOViE knows they are sending a message of positivity in a snuggly warm way to someone they care for; the recipient is constantly reminded they are important, they matter; and with every sale we are able to donate to those in need of warmth and love. We are moving the needle of positivity blanket by blanket, and the ripple effect is limitless.
“BIG LOViE blankets are like real-life hugs capable of nurturing peace-filled, happy hearts.”
