Our minds are constantly thinking...and most of us believe that voice is who we are.
But guess what? You are NOT the voice inside your head.
That voice is often full of worry, judgment, anger, and fear. No wonder there is so much anxiety and sadness. But that is just the ego trying to be important and creating mental and emotional chaos to keep itself strong.
Who we truly are is in the stillness - that space between thinking.
In that perfect, beautiful stillness within you, infinite wisdom lives.
The greatest gift to give someone is pure attention. What kind of listener are you? Have you thought about it?
Being a good listener sounds easy but my habits are to think ahead of the conversation or worse think about my thoughts on the topic. Yes - while someone else is talking!
The good thing is, once I became aware that I did this... I could start to change it. What works for me is to take a few seconds to see that person for everything they are. Truly, they become fascinating. I stop thinking about what I want to say next.
Most people would say they are pretty busy. That keeps us focused on stuff that doesn't necessarily bring us joy. No matter where you are in your life there is a super cool tool that can always help you feel good. Smiling!
The key to its superpower is knowing what really makes you feel good and then letting that feeling make you smile inside and out.
What are you really grateful for? What makes you laugh? What makes you feel strong and grounded?
